Stuart Silberberg
Stuart Silberberg has over 22 years of experience in the commercial real estate finance and investment industry.
Most recently, Stuart was a founding partner of Ajax Investment Partners, LLC, where he led the acquisition and financing of 3 million square feet of assets with an aggregate value over $300 million, while also working extensively on the asset management and development of the portfolio. As an affiliate of Coastal Capital Partners and later through Ajax Advisors, LLC, Stuart and his team advised on over $1 billion of transactions ranging from mortgage financing, acquisition advisory, equity placement and mezzanine/debt restructuring and provided underwriting services for Wall Street firms on several billion dollars of real estate assets.
Prior to Coastal/Ajax, Stuart worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking group at Deutsche Bank where he provided corporate and structured finance products to REITs and large private owners. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Stuart worked for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments placing and structuring mezzanine and private equity capital for large, complex development projects for both LLREI and private developers. From 1995 to 1999, Stuart worked for Nomura Securities’ commercial real estate division, where he originated, structured, underwrote and executed $2 billion of debt, preferred equity and equity real estate finance transactions to public and private institutions and individuals. During the early 1990’s, Mr. Silberberg structured and underwrote four REIT initial public offerings, with a total market capitalization of $1.7 billion, as an investment banker at Kidder, Peabody & Co. and managed and restructured bank loans at Citibank, NA.
Stuart holds a Masters of Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
